Aptos Thread Lift Treatment Abroad

Procedure: A needle is used to apply the Aptos thread through the underside of the skin. The Aptos thread is a special fibre with bi-directional cogs or barbs. The Aptos fibres attach to the tissue when they are threaded and the whole thread holds the given area in the desired shape. The thread is made of a hypo-allergenic and fully biocompatible material that has been used in cosmetc surgery for many years. Patients should not smoke at all at least 1-2 weeks before and after procedure. It is done under local anesthesia. Surgery normally takes 2-3 hours. Normally done with 1 night in the clinic.

Recovery: The effect of the procedure is immediate after the short recovery period and improves slightly over the next few months as the thread stimulates creation of certain collagens. After the treatment there may be slight swelling and minor bruising. The treated area is taped for a few days to prevent movement. Recommended stay in Prague and back to work in 7 days. Activity should be minimised for 3-5 days after surgery and patients should avoid strenuous movement of the treated area for about 2 weeks. Scarring is minimal.
